A mixed media print and painting on recycled aluminium cans.
I collect cans from dumps, the streets, parks, anywhere and clean them to repurposed them in to a canvas. Collaging them together through rivets. The imagery painted on to this can structure was in response to the fast changing built up environments near where I use to live in London.

I am a multidisciplinary artist, with a MA in Mixed Media Textiles from the Royal College of Art, before this I studied Contemporary Art at Bath Spa. I create clothing, jewellery and prints. I use my surrounding environment to inform my work, not just for its aesthetics, but also the physical objects left behind. Often utilising waste materials, fusing them with traditional art techniques such as printmaking and embroidery. This has been an on-going investigation in my practice and is how I came to develop my own hybrid printing and joining method involving aluminium cans and plastic packaging. The desire to utilise waste material, stems from growing up in a busy household of refurbishment. Family members would regularly return with items from the skip to renovate. This action of finding materials became ingrained in me at a young age and is evident in my practice as I ‘renovate’ waste, in my prints, and paintings and clothing. The clothing I create is all out of recycled fabrics I have screen printed on. I never thought I would enjoy making clothing and avoided it for years, but as soon as I started I can't seem to stop.
